From Bretagne to Europe to invent the home care of the future: a look back at the ACE project’s showcase

As part of the ACE European project, Biotech Santé Bretagne and CoWork’HIT organised a showcase on 19 September at the Kerpape rehabilitation centre. This showcase allowed innovative companies, both French and European, to present their innovations in front of a public of professionals and users of home care.

Testing innovations for the homecare of the future

Participants in the showcase were able to test French and Breton innovations, including:

  • The increased ear of caregivers [OSO-AI]
  • The washing and drying toilets [BeClean]
  • The digital TV platform [Zeebox]
  • Digital alert solutions [ARKEA ON LIFE]
  • Cognitive digital solution [JABI]
  • Teleassistance box [SONAIDE]
  • Wheelchair wheels for assisted manual braking [EPPUR]
  • The fall detector MySeresa [RF-TRACK]

“This day allowed us to keep an eye on the innovations that we can then recommend to the people we follow in their homes. We were also looking for new technologies to test in our facilities that can be real experimental grounds.”

Marie Tiercelin, Executive Assistant and Clémence Barbotin, Occupational Therapist for VYV 3 Bretagne

“I was delighted to be able to present my BeClean innovation. These are washers and dryers in kit adaptable on existing VW, which do not require people with loss of autonomy to adapt the toilets in their home. I have had the opportunity to meet with health professionals, including occupational therapists, and patients who have widely validated the value of my innovation.”

Anthony Chevallier, founder of BeClean

“My company RF-Track has developed MySeresa, a high performance fall detector. Our algorithm achieves a drop detection rate of over 95% and a false alarm rate of less than 0.5% per month. We are looking for health facilities to test our solution and this event has allowed us to meet interested professionals.”

Pierre Cherel, co-founder of RF-Track

European innovations on the agenda!

Innovations developed by the European partners of the ACE project were also presented:

  • The empathic home of HAN University of Applied Sciences
  • The Aarhus City Council’s Transgenerational House
  • Sfinx Inside door opening solution
  • The foldable and transformable walker from Rollz
  • Aquatime’s connected glass
  • The connected layers of Wear&Care

“I am in the middle of a project to build my home adapted to my disability and therefore looking at all the new technologies available for maintenance and home care. This day gave me the opportunity to talk with stakeholders in the sector.”

Mathieu Le Bray, showcase visitor

Participants also had the opportunity to visit the transition accommodations and the living lab of the Kerpape Centre.
